The Best Video Game Surprises Of 2021

I'm here with another card game guide. I discovered Slay the Spire through a review written by Doğukan, which he gave 4.5 out of 5. After two years and +100 hours of gameplay, I took it upon myself to write a Slay the Spire Act 4 Guide.

First of all, if you don't know anything about this game yet, let's take you back in time and take you to Doğukan's review of Slay the Spire, which he wrote two years ago. Despite the passage of time, a review that maintains its validity with both the points it touches and the score it gives.

The Best Video Game Surprises Of 2021

This post will be geared towards audiences like me who are starting to get a little more confused on Slay the Spire and aim to spend at least another 20 hours in this game thanks to the well-adjusted increasing difficulty levels. After the +100 hours I spent, I can easily say that the most successful feature of this game is the well-adjusted difficulty levels. Every time I escape the tower, the game generates new challenges that are not only easy to achieve but also encourage me to try again without getting tired.

The fact that your character lies lifeless on the ground after you finish the game "normally" is actually the "not all over yet" message that the game gives you. If you finish the game with all three of the Ironclad, Silent and Defect characters (let's note that the Watcher character was added to the game after the game's release, in January 2020), the gates of Act 4 and your real escape route from the tower appear before you. In the escape adventures you will start from now on, you can see the icon on the top left of your screen where 3 keys will be placed. These 3 keys are collected in the same way for every character (including Watcher): You will see that every key you collect appears in the upper left corner of your screen. Do not forget that in order to pass Act 4, you need to collect these three keys in the first 3 acts. After that, all you have to do is finish the game as you did before. Don't think it's too easy, because collecting every key will give you extra challenges compared to a normal game. For example, to collect the Sapphire Key, you must choose this key instead of one of the relics from the chests. After a few hours you will realize how difficult this actually is.

Permanent Tower Escape Guide – Let's Spread Accurate Information!

Now it's time for my humble suggestions. Of course, you can successfully escape the tower with different decks than the ones I suggest in this article. My experience shows that there are roughly two strategies for each character to finish Slay the Spire normally, while only one strategy stands out for finishing Act 4. Some cards and relics must be acquired for all characters. For example, Apotheosis, which Doğukan also mentioned, serves as a win-game card while completing Act 4. Moreover, I recommend that you upgrade this card as soon as possible. I generally base my strategies on collecting as many relics as possible and building on the features I gained from these relics. This means fighting as many elites as possible on your way out of the tower. Here are some relics that I always try to get:

Apart from that, I took care to collect relics that increase your maximum health (eg Strawberry, Mango etc.) and relics that increase the number of mana you have at the beginning of each hand, as appropriate. Now let's come to the special strategies I use for each character.

The Ironclad – Fighter Boi

Namely, fighter boi! We try to end our battles early by giving our character strength (strength) as much as possible and hitting our opponent on the head. I caught good combinations with Demon Form, Limit Break and Inflame cards and went through the bosses. In addition, Heavy Blade and Perfected Strike are also very important cards.

The Silent – Venomous Boi

Even though I keep Doğukan's naming in the review the same, the only point I disagree with after all these hours is the name Toxic Boi. By far the strongest feature of this character is the Shiv cards that we can play and improve for 0 mana. Thanks to Blade Dance, you can improve the power of Shivs, which you can have three or four each, with the Accuracy card and the Wrist Blade relic, which increases the power of your 0 mana attacks by 4. With Infinite Blades, you can get an extra Shiv for free at the start of each hand. All you have to do with this character is to draw as many cards as possible with cards like Acrobatics and keep gaining mana with your cards like Tactician in the same hand.
